The expert said the best thing parents can do is to watch an episode before introducing their child to shows like Bluey and Peppa Pig.
She said this will ensure that you have a better understanding of the content they're being exposed to.
Sophie added that these shows can often have poor representation.
“If you look at Paw Patrol, there’s only one female character in it. She’s Skye and she’s dressed in pink and she’s a bit wussy in comparison to all of the other characters."
Sophie encouraged parents to find other, more educational shows for their children to watch.
She believes Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, Bluey, Little Princess and Fireman Sam cause the most issues amongst children.
She stressed that there are so many other shows that children can benefit from.
But how can we possibly tear them away from Bluey? They're completely addicted.
